Final Post

My oval experience was amazing! Everyone was very nice and welcoming. I made friends with everyone there. I also had the ability to work independently to complete my responsibilities each day. This internship made me follow my dream of working the business side of the beauty industry. 

Helping with new things

Today I got to help out my mentor Pae

• I went into the shipping room
• In front of me were a bunch of products 
• Then Pae gave me multiple sheets of papers 
• Then she made me look at the barcode to see if the sheet of paper that had the products matched with the barcode
• Then we had to put the products in one box 

New Things

This week I had to do something new

1. Had to get a sheet of paper
2. Go through the paper and look through the aisles that contains Smashbox 
3. Then write down how many are in the place where the products are  

Doing this was pretty exciting because I rarely go into the cosmetic section and see all the shelf's they have stocked of all the cosmetics there.

Picking Cosmetics for Customers

This week I did something new I had to which was interesting I

• Was asked if I would look on a sheet of paper 
• Then go around and pick out the cosmetics that people order from Ebay
• I was given multiple sheet of 10 products or more
• Most of the products was samples 

I really enjoyed doing this because it was telling me the type of cosmetics that people like, and since I love working with cosmetics it showed how many people use the same products as I do.

Scanning New Products

Today at my internship I

• Scanned new cosmetics with program StoreAutomator
• Marked the expiration date
• Then added the quantity of the product

Since this was the first time I worked with this kind of technology I felt scared because I thought I would mess up on something important because I was adding the quantity and the expiration date.

Looking through prices

I was given a sheet of paper with a cosmetic brand and was asked to go to the Beauty Bridge website where all the brands are listed. Pae my mentor gave me a specific brand to see if the price matches. The brand that I had to look up was La Bella Donna and then I would see if the price matched with what was on the paper. I had to go through the whole products that one brand had and if it didn't match I was to write what was the actual price on the sheet of paper.

New Experience

This week my mentor Pae asked me to review a sheet of paper which was a spread sheet and go to the cosmetic aisle and see how many products are in that aisle. Then I would see if the bar code is the same as the product that is listed. Then if a certain product was listed on J7-5 i would have to go to the aisle where the J products are listed then go to aisle 7 then up to the number 5 and see if the product that is supposed to be there is actually there.

On this day I was asked to take pictures of the cosmetics my mentor Pae set out for me. I had to professionally take them because they have a eBay site as well to sell.
